Pre-Event
Several activities has been done during the pre-event of Bali Jazz Festival. Logo competition has been held in June-July besides having a good festival’s visual identity this activities also to accommodate public
involvement and to get attention from the public. Variety jazz concert in Bandung, Jakarta, Jogjakarta, Surabaya and Bali during July-October 2005 to make people aware to Bali Jazz Festival under title Road to BJF.

The Festival
The idea behind the time & date is to create another “high season” for Bali which in sustainable event this will be generate numbers of tourism to Indonesia and Bali. Three days, from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 November 2005, in Kuta Area Bali, will be the host of Bali Jazz Festival 2005.
Concerts will hold indoor with two stages on different locations. While the “Under the Sky” ambiance, both of them will be held on the beach.

Jazz on the streets around the venues, to be able to attract their direct audience and fans
Jazz Village
BJF Bazaar and cafe, creating area where all the jazz lovers, musician, organizations, music industry will be able to meet and exchange theirs common interest and goals. The public will be able to enjoy the Jazz film documentary from around the world. The organizer will provide the barter corner, for all jazz lovers to buy their old discs, books, posters. etc
